Top 10 Joys(or fears) in Teaching P1 kids '____' "

Another of my TOP 10 list......

1.They believe everything that you say. E.g.老师说：“哪组再吵闹，我就把星星拿掉！”“Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!Oei!你不要再讲话liao,老师要扣分了！”“老师！是真的吗？Wah!!!!!!!”(When he says that, he got that kind of "真的吗"serious look)(Of course, I dun come up with lame excuses like you all. Bleh......:P)

2.They believe everything that you say even if you said it one week ago.E.g.“老师，你last week说要做一个‘我是大嘴巴’的牌子给XXX的。你有没有带来？”（Moral of the story, 找朋友不要找一个像这个瓜，出卖友情。Tsk tsk tsk.......)

3.They think that your punishment is very funny.E.g. “老师，我也要大嘴巴的牌。”(OMG~ You think your lao shi so free to make so many 牌 ?)

4.They do whatever you tell them do. (except 'exceptional' stubborn cases)E.g."Put your finger on your lip!" "Everyone give me 1 clap!"(They try clapping using one hand in the air, while the other hand is obediently lying on the mouth.)

5.They are sources of unlimited entertainment to teacher and friends. E.g. 老师在教同学怎么用“我是........”造句。突然，一个同学说：“我是Ocean,欧得阳。”另一个说：“我是吴克群。”Then start to sing his song.Every word he sang is the same as the ad of TV orh！Then, solo becomes大合唱。(I almost died from 'arm chio' I tell you.)最后，有人说：“我是Jolin,蔡依琳。”(I nearly peng san.)

6.They give you answers that make you flabbergusted .E.g.“同学们，la第四声有哪些词？”“老师我懂，辣妹！”

7.They help you scold the notti ones in the class. “你看！又弄老师生气liao!老师又要扣我们的分了。都是你啦！”Scold for at least 5 minutes,比我还长气。（Thumbs up!)

8.Everyone is 大嘴巴to them.老师骂：“哪个是大嘴巴，上课一直在讲话？！”Everybody uses both hands to point fingers at everybody.场面好不“壮观”。

9.They love you so much they kept calling your name until you answer them.E.g. At the school gate,“梁老师！”(Sotong cher look here and there, cant see anyone. Continue walking......)“梁老师！梁老师梁老师梁老师！！！!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”（够了啦，喊到每个人都在看我，damn paiseh.......)

10.They love you so much they risk drawing pictures for you during your lesson.E.g. “老师，给你的。”“真美，谢谢，几时画的？”“上课时。”(SLAP!)

agm's finally over.. i guess the 31st exco must be heaving a huge sigh of relief! after slogging for one year.. u can finally take a break! :D even though u may feel that you were slogging for nothing, pls know that the rest of us understand how tough being an exco member is and we really appreciate all that you have done for us... THANK YOU!!!!(we are jus too shy to give u a big hug for all that hard work ;))


being in the exco can be tough cos you will get arrowed for all sorts of nonsense (even if the fault doesnt lie on u but on.. ahem.. the "management") but still, its a great experience cos you really get to interact with nusco-ians and other ppl of other cfa groups on a much closer level (aka knowing the latest gossips and news).. in fact this is the best way to raise your profile in nusco (you might not know who we are but be assured that we know who you are ;D)!!

so to the 32nd exco, welcome to the big nusco family and may you have a fruitful year ahead!! :D

梁老师的十大“超级”学生

既然有人喜欢读我的post,我就厚脸皮点，再post关于我的学生的趣事。一个学期过去了，什么种类的学生的patterns也都通通“原形毕露”。So, hereby I present to you my top 10 'darlings':

排名第十：
“超级不知所云”（means totally cut off from the world)
此种类者就算被天塌下来压死，也不知道自己已经被压死了。Example:老师上课上了几分钟，发现某某某桌上没课本，便问：“你的课本呢？”学生用大脑processed了大约五分钟，还要经过小脑，10分钟后，才想起课本是长什么样子的，然后再花五分钟，找那本像课本的东西，而那本书明明就在桌底下。

排名第九：
“超级爱叹气”
此种类者不管大小事都sigh。 Example:拿习字出来（sigh...)拿作业出来（sigh...)上课（sigh...)(This I can understand, I sigh myself too.)去recess!排队！！(Sigh....) 我的命也给她sigh去一半。

排名第八：
“超级懒惰”
此种类是老师的“天敌”。可是却有人连写名字都懒惰。Example:“某某某，为什么没写名？”“老师，我的名字太多笔画了，写到手很酸。”(Moral of the story, do not give your child names with too many strokes, so they will not give silly excuse to their CL teacher)

排名第七：
“超级旋风”
此种类做什么都快，连上厕所都是chop chop 的。Example:“同学们，现在做习字。”（5 minutes later）“老师，做完了。”“做作业。”(Another 5 minutes later)“老师，做完了。”“老师，做完了做什么？”Actually I also dunno cos I got no more work to give you.去参加《百万大赢家》的“快手快打”sure win one.

排名第六：
“超级水桶”
而且达不到目的决不罢休。此精神可嘉，如果把此招数用在学业上必能名列前茅。Example:“老师，我要去喝水。”“不可以，recess 没喝够吗？”（回去座位，不久又回来，这次用English来问）" Teacher, can I go and drink water?"笑话，敢敢用英语问我，更没有机会去喝水。又不肯放弃，再来问一次：“老师，我的口干到很辛苦。”老师回答：“你不要一直来问我，你的口就不会干到那么辛苦了。”

排名第五：
“超级大瀑布”
怀疑学生bladder 是不是有problem,5分钟一小“小”，30分钟一大“小”，一直要去厕所做什么？如果有需要，我可以介绍specialist给他的。Example:某某某要上厕所。另一个听到了，也要去。“你不是刚刚去吗？”“老师，我刚才没小完。”小完了，变成要大便。“老师大便。”(If he pauses a bit behind the word老师，maybe I will consider, BUT say until so 不清不楚，听了真的很buay song.)

排名第四：
“超级爱现”
意思是很爱表现自己。什么问题都抢着回答，想做个“高人”，不该答的也答，真的不知道谁才是老师。Example:“老师，什么是行人？”“在马路旁行走的叫行人。”（学生还是一脸茫然）“Pedestrian, pedestrian.这个你也不会。”然后还继续explain一大堆东西 about 马路，quote examples,etc.“好，你来教他们读这个短文。”（全班读,这时有人读错了。）“Oei! Stupid!读错liao la.是“架”。重读！”完全有老师的say(think in hokkien pronounciation), 还帮我骂人，not bad.

三甲以内！！！

排名第三：
“超级helpful”
什么都要帮。Example:“老师，我帮你擦白板。”“老师，我帮你拿书下楼。”(Even if there's only A book)“老师，我帮你扫地。”(No no no no no,这位同学，老师的工作不包括扫地的。）“老师，我帮你借收音机。”“老师，你还没有来的时候，我帮你把坏蛋的名字抄下来了。你看。Proudly, presenting a LONG list of names on the white board for me that include almost everyone's name except his.在家不懂有没有这么helpful?

排名第二：
“超级back-stabber”
年纪小小，就懂得back-stab同学，真不敢领教。“Pssss.....老师，来。”（Of cos 没有这样夸张啦，but almost there liao.)
“他刚才去girl's toilet leh! How can? 他是boy leh.（Ya, I also know, can see.)“老师，他上X老师的课，每次都被骂的。”“他乘你没注意时跳下楼梯leh.他没听你的话leh.”小时寥寥，大一定“佳”！

Lastly, the darling of my 'darlings'
排名第一！！！
“超级机关枪”
此类型早已修炼成“精”嘴巴比鱼的还要厉害，开关gadget完全坏了。没讲话几秒钟，就好像快要死掉。And damn it that he is more interesting than me. (Fume*)罚他，他还照讲不误。“老师，我脚酸，可以坐了吗？”“老师，很累了，脚很酸了。”“老师，脚真的很酸。”老师生气：“你嘴巴不酸吗？” 学生马上觉得被浇了桶水，很没趣。1，2，3的时间，又开口： “老师，可以坐了吗？”老师被烦到受不了，把他“移”到远一点的地方。那里“人烟稀少”，学生尝试pssss psssss 他的同学，没人理会，他非常痛苦，因为没有人跟他讲话，就开始自言自语。在家一定很deprived of talking，妈妈一定也是受不了他，整天叫他keep quiet，所以才来学校“发泄”。

学校生活真有乐趣啊！

alright... actually i already had something to write on the very night of the concert liaoz le.. but then... blogger went nuts and deleted my post... #%@#&^#^

but anywayz...

曲终人散- 这四个子总是给我一种很。。。 悲惨的感觉。哈哈~~ 跟“天下无不散之筵席”的感觉类似吧~ 很有凄凉的feeling。。。。

不过也对啦~ 当我们那晚在后台组成“国大华乐合唱团”的时候。。。喔~ 我还真的想落泪咧~ 每次练的时候啊。。。都觉得超惨，然后就会在心里说：“哎哟。。。我不要去~~~~~啦~~~~~~”（虽然还是有去制造杂音啦。。 哈哈哈！！）可是每次听到很壮观的大合奏的时候。。。喔~真的是自己都觉得很感动，要飙泪了~ 哈哈~！

总是要到最后关头，那些情绪才会涌上来。。。上台前，真的是紧张得要死。其实，关我什么事啊~ soloists 都没有紧张，我紧张个鬼啊？可能是因为今年我没有partner（不要再提了。*心痛*。。。哈哈~~）。而且“金翎思”我还要坐在老马旁边。。。天啊。。。我一直slack的报应终于来了。。 终于遭到天谴。 哈哈~~~~

演出一结束。。。就有种。。。“HuH? 就这样？”的感觉。。。哈哈~~~~

虽然。。。虽然我不是个在华乐里面贡献很大的人，甚至我做错了很多事情。。。但每个和大家一起演出的机会，我都很感激。

真的。

concert's over!

Listening to the 长城随想 mp3 while i am thinking of what to type here. Was it just yesterday that we had the concert? Feel like eons ago. Somewhat missing the hellish schedule for the past two weeks, where the graduates had to rush down tired and hungry from work to squeeze tgt in the rehearsal room for practice (and the undergrads gotta lug all their notes to study there amidst all that "noise" :@) Though like many previous years, we had our fair share of glitches along the way, but, we survived it yet again, like we always do. In the process, new buddies are made, and old friendships are revived.

Of course, there were frustrating moments, e.g trying to get my parts right and also the administrative matter of ticket selling (or peddling :P), but there were also many enjoyable moments of lame jokes (freely provided by lame jnrs -___-''), and grumbling sessions over dinner at ke ai ji. Even transporting the instrument to and fro LT13 was fun in a way. :P How often do you get a bunch of weird 国大华乐合唱团 ppl singing the concert pieces at the top of their voices in the lorry (accompaniment and percussion parts incld :P)?

But of course, all good (and bad) things come to an end.. So, well, time to do more serious stuff (like marking :@). But in the meantime, I'll be looking forward to the Switz trip :D

圆满结束

终于结束了！！！不管圆不圆满，但还是可以算是个成功的音乐会吧！至少人气足，音乐厅没有空空的。观众还要encore....Give yourself a pat on your shoulder.我已累得语无伦次了。Anyway Yanhong, we wun be angry with you, it's really a stressful job, imagine taking home thousands of dollars like me last time..alone somemore, so scared people robbed me halfway. *stick tongue out* What's bygone let it be gone...

不要气馁，一定要加油！

我承认自己也是制造“噪音”的一群，没办法，谁叫自己不争气，一直生病，少去练习。在燃眉之际有那么多东西涌来确实叫人不可消受，但是每年我们都能"miraculously"过去，所以请你不要气馁，相信一切将会否极泰来，很快就过去了。我们急也没用，因为就是有人不急，不把这当自己的concert, like none of their business.所以，现在我们只能尽量出席仅有的练习，然后pray before you sleep on Saturday, that Sunday will be a fine day and the hall will be packed with crowd. (听说票房还没pick up...我也是害群之马之一，another thing I cant be proud of.)我也希望明天能找到我的乐谱！！！(Kevin!!看到了没有？！！！）大家一起努力！

Tue liao!! Left with 5 dayz & 6.6h!! 7 x 5 = 35 sleeping hours, 1.5 x 5 = 7.5 bathing and washing-up hours, 2 x 5 = 10 travelling hours, 6 x 4 = 24 school hours, hence we, the average student, have 50.1 hours left for practising and stoning and fidgeting and stage-frighting and fighting stage-frighting.... jia you!!!!!!
